MTV dropping Harmonix makes sense
MTV (well Viacom their parent company) is apparently trying to sell of Harmonix, and that sort of makes sense seeing as MTV owning Harmonix was a little odd to begin with. I mean it was a great partnership, and is probably one of the major factors in why Rock Band was able to be such a big success, but with music games kind of on the way out its probably the best time for MTV to let Harmonix go. They made their money, Harmonix really put itself on the map, and right now is probably the best time for the two to split ways.
And seeing what they’ve done with Dance Central, I’d like to see what Harmonix can do outside the plastic instrument genre (that is if you don’t count the Kinect as a plastic instrument.)
